Candidate Packets Now Available at the Village Office
In the March 6, 2012 Municipal Election Districts 2, 5, 6, will be voting for Councilors,and all Districts (1,2,3,4,5,6) will be voting for one at-large Municipal Judge.

For the Regular Municipal Election on March 6, 2012 the following Districts will be voting for the listed candidates: District 2 will be voting for One Councilor. District 5 will be voting for One Councilor. District 6 will be voting for One Councilor. All Districts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 will be voting for one Municipal Judge. All Districts will be voting at the Voting Convenience Center located at the Corrales Recreation Center at 500 Jones Road. The Municipal Districts should not be confused with the County Precincts if you are not sure which district you are located in please contact Village Clerk Juan Reyes or Deputy Clerk Noelle Garcia at 897-0502, or visit the State of New Mexico website Voter View to verify your Municipal District. |
Voters may now lookup their own voter registration information using VoterView. A VoterView record contains helpful information such as polling place and the district races a registrant may vote in. Look under the "Districts Table" to view the Municipal District. To access VoterView, click here: https://voterview.state.nm.us. VoterView is provided by the New Mexico Secretary of State, if the page does not load please contact the Secretary of State website webmaster. The Voter View website will list the Corrales Districts as "Corrales City Council __" in the Districts table.

By 12-13-11 Adoption of Resolution calling for Municipal Election
On 01-10-12 Candidate filing day (between the hours of 8:00 am-5:00 pm)
On 01-11-12 Candidate Certification by Village Clerk
On 01-12-12 Candidate list posted in Municipal Clerk’s office
On 01-12-12 Candidates draw for position on the ballot
By 01-17-12 Last day for withdrawal of Candidacy
On 01-17-12 Only day to declare Write-In Candidacy status
On 01-18-12 Write-In Candidate Certification by Village Clerk
On 01-19-12 Write-In Candidate list posted in Municipal Clerk’s office
By 01-31-12 Last day for withdrawal of Write-in Candidacy
On 01-31-12 First day Absentee ballots may be issued/mailed to voters whose applications have been accepted and approved
On 02-07-12 Registration books closed by County Clerk
On 02-15-12 Absentee voting on voting machine begin
On 3-2-12 Last day to vote by absentee in person. Last day to mail absentee ballots from Clerk’s Office. After 5:00 p.m., destruction of all unused absentee ballots.
By 03-2-12 Deadline for candidate to file a petition for challengers, or watchers
On 03-06-12 Election Day
By 03-09-12 Canvass of election results must be started by this date
By 03-12-12 Oath of Office (by 7:00 PM)
