Mayor's Message for June 24th, 2022

Village in the Village event

A few years ago, a non-profit organization, Village in the Village, was formed by some Corraleños to allow our aging population to age in place. The “Aging in Place” mission was to allow members to fulfill their desire to age well in their homes in Corrales and stay connected to the community. Other goals included:

-provide a range of services to the members that fulfilled the above.

-act as a connector between members and non-members to other providers of services.

-act as a connector between members and non-members and high schoolers seeking community service credits.

-accept donations for the express purpose of providing services that allow seniors to age in place.

Other support activities are available to members to support both mind and body and occasionally assist with physical labor. The Village of Corrales is supportive of these goals and would hope to assist those in need with contacting those who can provide assistance.
