A Thank You from Mayor Jo Anne

Thank you - thank you - thank you! Because 1, 860 of you (that’s 68% my friends), voted for me, I have the honor and pleasure of serving as your next Mayor. I will work hard to be a mayor for all of us and to concentrate on the things we spoke about together: government that listens, is respectful of your views, and works to make sure laws are enforced the same way for everybody. We are also going to work on some really fun things as a community - events that bring us together and ideas that will make sure Corrales is a thriving, healthy and sustainable place well into the future.

All four bond measures passed overwhelmingly: clearly you want to see improvements and investment in the community. Your government needs to make sure that these monies are spent wisely on your behalf and with your input.

Congratulations to newly elected Village Councilors Kevin Lucero (District 1), Mel Knight (District 3), and David Dornburg (District 4), who will be joining George Wright (District 2), Jim Fahey (District 5) and Pat Clauser (District 6) on the Governing Body. I look forward to working with you all.

Corrales, we can be proud of the way this election went forward. There was competition, of course, but it was overwhelmingly positive and shows that standing for election can be a rewarding and exciting experience. Thank you Scott, Chanda and Michael.

I am so grateful for your confidence in me and will do everything I can to continue to earn your trust and support. And of course, I know you will let me know how I am doing!

Together, we can make our wonderful Village even better.

All best - Jo Anne
